Grand Princess Not Grand  |

| First and last cruise with Princess. Staff was terrible and they constantly nickel and dime you to death. "Movies Under the Stars" was a huge disappointment. |
Pros: Nice Ship, very spacious.
Cons: Mostly rude and unfriendly staff.

Decent  |

| Took this cruise to see what Princess was like. Also wanted to see what it would be like to drive to the port (Galveston) instead of flying to Florida for a Caribbean cruise. |
Pros: Convenient embarkation, nice ship, decent food

| The cruise reinforced my expectation that I'm not a "cruise person" but I don't think it was a fault of the Grand Princess and her crew. There were problems but, overall, the boat was clean, the staff very accommodating, the activities plentiful and the food abundant and of good quality. The problem is that the whole experience, while fun, offers little that is memorable. So, after a couple of days it's like you're under house arrest in a combination hotel/mall/school fair. Best quality: the staff. Worst: the fact that you are constantly being bombarded with requests to spend more. |
